THE BIG DAY HAS ARRIVED!

Hi Church,
How “pumped” are we that the new auditorium is opening in just one more day’s time?

It seems like yesterday that we were “bumping in” to the sutherland Entertainment Centre in order to allow the bulldozers in to level our old building, or part of it.  But it was only one short year ago…and here we are, “on our marks” ready to go….this very Sunday!

We are so excited as a church family that we will be able to bring our services into the new auditorium, which seats over 1,000 people, and that we will be able to finally have all the facilities that we have only dreamt about for so many years….

the Audio Visual equipment went in over the last couple of days, and as the big stage screen was erected, I could only thank God that we have come this far, and have seen so much, in the last year.

It has been a year of hard word and committment, of sacrifice for many and of much tireless prayer!  We have together laboured and given over and above what we thought we could, and now we see the firstfruits of what is to come. Join us as we continue to pray for the salvation of many in our new space.  For the revelation of Jesus Christ in the hearts and minds of people who come seeking answers.  For the the realisation that when they walk in, they will not only be welcomed and befriended by a wonderful church, but enabled to find relationship with a God in Heaven who adores them and wants to be their friend!

Oh, I am so excited, and I hope you are too.

OPENING DAY APROACHES!

CELEBRATE!

Well!  We are on the way to the “final countdown”… and moving in to our new auditorium.  The Shirelive office is abuzz with plans and propositions, and we are all feeling the stretch and faith challenges as we all pull together to see this thing actually launched!

I trust that you are feeling the excitement and the motivation as we mobilize all our people in the congregation to be involved in some area, in order to make our new building the asset that it is able to be……in order to build the Kingdom here in the Shire and beyond.

We so appreciate your support in the building of our new home for Shirelive. Although we are not finished yet, it is time to stand back, survey the work, and celebrate with everything that we are as a church and a family…yes!  And of course that day is fast approaching, December 14th.  The day we actually move in! 

INVITE!

We have many seats available for you, your families, and your friends and acquaintances.  Please remember to be inviting people to either our 9.30am or our 6pm service (with a party in the park from 4pm!)  (With guest speaker Ps Steve Kelly from USA)  We are working hard at being a church that welcomes everyone, and extends the hand of friendship and hospitality in excellence.  Please remember that, without your help, we may not be using this magnificent building to its full advantage….after all, it was built in order to BUILD the Kingdom here on the Earth.  Help us to ensure that this really happens! Invite all your friends and family over the next weeks and let’s make sure that the opportunities surrounding the Opening, (Dec 14) Christmas Special ( “The Gift”  Dec 21) and Christmas Day (Dec 25) services are all used to impact our community.  Then, of course, into January and the new year of 2009, many opportunities will be here to reach out to people and invite them to church.

PRAY!

It is with this in mind that we ask you to join us for the first of our Friday morning prayer gatherings THIS Friday (December 5th) in the ministry centre, children’s area from 7am to 8am, to bring a spiritual focus to the people that we all lead. We will follow this up with another one the next Friday (December 12th) same time, same place.  Perhaps some of you would also join us in fasting during a part of this time also.  We look forward to this as we are so very aware of the effect of prayer and the focus on it and what it can bring for this time.

Shirelive countdown!

Hey Church!
Only a few short weeks now until we move into our new and beautiful auditorium…we can’t wait…and that’s such an understatement!
yesterday we saw inside the building and again were taken aback by the amazing “feel” that it gives the minute you walk in!  We are going to love its atmostphere and wonderfully ‘close” feel…such a “warmth” to this new place, and even though it’s just a building, it feels like a friendly place already!

Don’t forget to invite your friends and family to our first service there at 9.30am on Sunday 14th December 2008. 

And at 4pm we start our fun “street party” ouside…jumping castle for the kids, fun and fellowship for the adults.  Then at 6pm we hold our great Opening Night in the new church.  Our guest speaker from USA Pastor Steve Kelly will be with us and we are SO looking forward to this very very special service.  Church, we have worked hard and we are stopping to celebrate.  But this is only the beginning…we go from there to rebuilding our foyer area in Stage Two…that will include a beautiful reception area, cafe and….well, you know the deal…it’s going to be just amazing!

Sunday December 21st is our first morning Water Baptism service…how amazing these services are…new beginnings! At 6.00 pm bring all the friends you know for a wonderful Christmas musical and media presentation…you are going to love this!

Before we get too excited about December though, can I personally invite all the ladies to a beautiful night coming up next THURSDAY…27th November.  We have a guest speaker whom I just know you will LOVE…Janine Kabala is coming for a delightful event for the ladies…we start at 7.30pm in the park opposite church for delicious snacks and drinks…then over to church where we are going to be treated to music from Hayley Jensen and our great creative team.  This night promises to be a really uplifting and wonderful night for the girls.  Tickets are available from Reception on Sunday or during the week.
