SYNERGY
Hi church!
It’s with great anticipation and excitement that we are all looking forward to the end of this week and the start of our very first youth and young adults conference.
We’ve called it SYNERGY….The dictionary describes this word as meaning:
“the cooperative action of two or more muscles, nerves, or the like”...and as the church is often described in the Bible as being a “Body”...I can understand better the meaning of this word through its definition. It’s as though we are working together towards a common goal. As though we were rowing a longboat together…bound for new shores and horizons!
Our conference is for all who will come - it has a Generational appeal because we are a “generational” church!
We are inviting youth groups from within and around the Shire, and we hope that you who read this will think about joining us for this amazing event over a couple of days. Just check out the ad. on this website for any further information required.
It’s been an amazing week! Michael and I have travelled over to the other side of the country to pray for a dear friend in hospital. We have celebrated church together with our dear friends here in Sydney. And now he is attending the summit being held in Thailand for those churches involved in working with Asian Missions and the Australian Christian Churches.
It’s true, no matter how we look at it….WE DO THINGS BETTER AND MORE EFFECTIVELY WHEN WE DO THEM TOGETHER!
So as you negotiate and enjoy your week, remember…SYNERGY is about working together. thinking of others and praying for them and working with them…TOGETHER!
It may make all the difference to you this week to remember that word…
We love you church

FREEDOM!
Hi church!
After over 20 years of ministry, I dont think there’s anything that I enjoy more, than seeing a believer in Jesus Christ achieve FREEDOM in an area of their lives!
Encountering God in a new and fresh way is an experience reserved for those who love and pursue God, and allow their spiritual growth to take priority over the busyness and speed of life in the 21st century! Living from a “quiet place” and in touch with your Creator is an experience that, once tasted, can set a person free for the rest of life…
In Galatians, in the New Testament, Paul the Apostle speaks to believers that he was leading in the 1st Century A.D.. His words still ring so true today:
“before you knew God you were slaves to gods who do not even exist”
Even today we are often “slaves” to the “gods of this world”...and you and I can think of many of those!
FREEDOM represents a state of living that is fulfilling, peace-filled and to be aspired to for all of us! Many of us imagine that we have freedom, but Paul is referring to a spiritual freedom that can be achieved by all who pursue God and a relationship with Him, as their “Father”.
Ever thought of that? Calling God your Father?
Gal 4:3:
“And that’s the way it was with us before Christ Came. We were slaves to the spiritual powers of this world. But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.”
If you want to experience freedom in one or many areas of your own life…pehaps we can help!
We would love you to come to one of our Encounters in the next weeks:
Adult & Young Adult women - Sat 25th July
High Schoolers - Sat 25th July
Men - Sun 2nd August
Re Encounter for Leaders - Sat 25th July
Just call 02 9521 2933 or speak to your cell leader.
Remember that FREEDOM is not out of reach…
Love you church!
